Go to device manager and update the driver with the just modified one. Vista did, but they took it out of 7 and 2008. I have looked at my SCSI card and it is actualy listed as an AVA-2902E host adapter but the files on the installation CD do not list that model at all, u see a menu ... his comment is here

The Adaptec 78xx series is a legacy PCI SCSI card, and Adaptec has no official 64-bit drivers available through their product support. I am converting from WinXP to a Windows 7 64-bit system, but cannot locate a suitable 64-bit driver for the SCSI controller/HP scanner.
