This is often the case when attempting to download from a work computer. Open "Finder." Right-click on your NOOK, then select Get Info.Look for the "Available" space left on the NOOK. Another pop up box still didn't show it, so I had to browse for it. A) The ebook has been removed from your “My Digital Editions” folder. Yet ADE is monitoring my ebooks in the database of another program, Calibre, and it is doing so without user activation, initiation, preference, or permission. I had tried reinstalling, and rebooting with no luck. This is basically the situation in option #1 from this post.

If that's the case, then ADE tries to check what's on the device and gets into trouble because of some trace of this file. If you suspect that ADE is aware of your ePub's located in your Calibre file location there are tools/means of factually verifying this. Does anybody know what ports etc need to be open/available and other details to allow the download of ePUB files from the server?Anyway, at least I have a temporary solution....
